There is something about running home every day so that you never miss an episode of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress. It’s another thing to do it when you’re eight years old.

I loved the event industry from the start, and, in a turn of events that I didn’t see coming, I found an open door into the industry. It was the gift of a lifetime when, in a moment of classic “intern work,” I found myself crushing $25,000 worth of wedding flowers into a dumpster at 1 o’clock in the morning. I’ll never forget thinking to myself, “There has to be another way to do this.”

And, so, I started looking. Along the way, I learned that I wanted my career to create a space where intention, invention, and inclusion wrote the story. Eventually, I found myself unable to turn away from the path that led to Love, Emmie Co.
